Union Dubuque Appoints Executive Leadership Team
The front office of Union Dubuque F.C. has an entirely new look this year. Four directors have been appointed to oversee crucial areas of club operations.
“This is a momentous step forward,” remarked club president and co-founder Cliff Conrad. “Last season was pretty rough around the edges when it came to management. Now, we have great team of highly-qualified, passionate people that will help guide this club to the success that our fans deserve.” Please welcome the following members to the Union family:
Kevin Cattani, Director of Operations
Kevin Cattani joins the Union Dubuque leadership after serving as a consultant and game-day coordinator last year. Kevin holds a PhD in Sport Management from the University of Florida, and brings experience as the Gator Football program’s equipment manager to the table. Dr. Cattani will be responsible for game-day operations and helping create a truly unforgettable experience for our fans. Kevin serves full-time as an Associate Professor of Sport Management at the University of Dubuque.
Jim Ott, Director of Community Engagement
A semi-retired school psychologist, Jim has been part of Union Dubuque’s board of directors since the summer of 2017. Jim’s primary role will continue to be setting the direction for our club’s engagement in the community of the greater tri-state area. Jim’s influence can be seen all across the soccer landscape in Dubuque, having been one of the founders and the first president of the Dubuque Soccer Club. You can find Jim directing activities for kids on match-days, or sporting his Union scarf in his role as front-man for the Irish band Ballyheigue.
Steve Tartaglione, Director of Marketing
A recent transplant back to Dubuque, Steve is a graduate of Loras College and a former member of the Loras Men’s Soccer program. A passionate soccer fan, Steve works as the Senior Marketing Strategist for McCullough Creative, helping the firms clients develop and implement marketing plans. Steve brings a sharp mind for marketing and a knack for helping fans see value to his role overseeing the clubs marketing and media operations.
Joe Sabin, Director of Finance
Joe Sabin, Esq. brings a wealth of experience and a robust education to the Union leadership team. A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, Joe is well-versed in both law and finance and will direct the clubs financial operations. An avid sports fan, Joe brings a wealth of knowledge about building engaging and meaningful experiences for our fans. He serves full-time as an Assistant Professor in the Sport Management department at the University of Dubuque.
